Some of the most gifted freshmen in the past ten years are part of the 2025 college basketball recruiting class.

Cameron Boozer, Darryn Peterson, and AJ Dybantsa all possess the skills and credentials necessary to be ranked as the top overall player in the country.

Before either of the talents travels to the university levels, Boozer was announced as the 2025 Mr. Basketball USA.

The senior from the Columbus Explorers is the only person to win the coveted accolade twice since LeBron James.

Even though Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils will be losing some of their best players from the previous campaign, Boozer’s arrival could instantly return them to the top of the college basketball rankings.

After winning a state title at Columbus, Boozer enters his freshman year at Duke as the country’s top power forward and third-ranked player overall.

Boozer had a few significant offers before deciding to attend Duke, his father’s alma school, including Kentucky, Arkansas, Florida State, and North Carolina.

Great potential surrounds the 6-foot-9 prospect as he enters his rookie year at Duke. His brother, four-star Cayden Boozer, and five-star Nikolas Khamenia will join him.

Under Scheyer, the three new blue-chip talents will try to help Duke win its first national championship.

Scheyer guided the Duke Blue Devils to the Final Four the previous season. After defeating Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, and Mount Saint Mary’s, they lost to Houston in the NCAA Tournament.

Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, and Tyrese Proctor all declared for the NBA Draft, thus Scheyer now has to replace their output.
