Tigers play-by-play commentator Jason Benetti was taken aback when Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jackson Jobe tied up Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette with a powerful sinker inside. Before Benetti even realized what had happened, Bichette had struck out and ended the second inning with a whiffe on the nasty pitch.

The surprise of the 97-mph sinker resulted in one of the wackiest and most incredible calls you’ll hear.

Benetti shouted over the microphone, “Oh my goodness, a lightning bolt directly at Bichette,” according to FanDuel Spots Network Detroit. That will cause your nervous system to become active. Does anyone know about an exorcist?

Jobe pitched six innings on Sunday, striking out five batters while allowing six hits and two earned runs. It was a good outing. Jobe’s dirty strikeout wasn’t even the first time he said, “Oh my goodness!” into the microphone throughout the game, so Benetti had a busy Sunday as well.

In the bottom of the first inning, Tigers left fielder Akil Baddoo made back-to-back amazing catches which resulted in three outs and pulled Jobe out of a first-inning jam. Benetti also adored both plays:

Following the rubber match, the Tigers managed to hold on and defeat the Blue Jays 3–2 on Sunday, securing the three-game weekend series. After being tense throughout the weekend due to the Tigers, maybe Benetti can get some rest.
