Fans of the Los Angeles Angels are anxiously awaiting Mike Trout’s recovery from a recent injury. They received a lot of value for their money, though, when one of their most important players came up to bat most unexpectedly.
According to ESPN, former Angel Troy Glaus scored a hit for the Savannah Bananas, the exhibition team, during a game at Angel Stadium on Friday. Based in Savannah, Georgia, the Savannah Bananas are a barnstorming team.
With their skits, dances, and inventive methods of engaging with spectators, they are baseball’s version of the Harlem Globetrotters. They engaged in a fast-paced game called “Banana Ball.”
There is a one-on-one tiebreaker, no bunting, and supporters who grab foul balls are deemed outs.
With a 26-30 record, the Angels are in the midst of a difficult season. At the moment, they hold the fourth position in the American League West. However, the Angels recently hit two home runs while winning eight games in a row and seven games in a row.
Since 2016, Glaus has been a member of the Bananas. However, his glory years were spent with the Angels.
