Flagg

Cooper Flagg was one of the most successful freshman in history when he concluded his collegiate basketball career with the Duke Blue Devils.

Flagg helped guide the Blue Devils to the ACC regular season and tournament crowns during his rookie year at Duke, when they started the postseason as the top seed.

Before succumbing to Houston in the Final Four, they defeated some of the best teams in the nation, including Alabama and Arizona, to end the season with a 35-4 record.

Flagg, the presumptive No. 1 overall choice, entered the NBA draft after his freshman year.

The Dallas Mavericks, who own the first choice in the draft, recently took action in relation to Flagg.

Marc Stein claims that Flagg is slated to visit Dallas prior to the draft by the Mavericks.

Flagg topped the team in each of the five main statistical categories during his first season with the Blue Devils.

Each game, Flagg averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. As one of the top two-way players in the nation, the Duke freshman also averaged 1.4 blocks and 1.4 steals a game.

The Mavericks would be creating a very talented core that includes Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson if they choose to choose Flagg with the first overall choice.

After dealing Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas was the NBA’s laughingstock for a large portion of the second half of the season. However, the arrival of Flagg may begin to ease the pain for Mavericks supporters.
