
Although June may be too soon to discuss Notre Dame basketball, the Fighting Irish recently acquired two elite players from La Lumiere School in LaPorte.
Jonathan Sanderson, a four-star point guard, announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Sunday, according to On3. He turned down offers from Purdue, Ohio State, and Michigan State, to mention a few, in favor of the Fighting Irish.
Gan-Erdene Solongo, a center, committed to the Irish on Monday. He is thought to be the tallest Mongolian living person at 7 feet 1 inch.

It wasn’t until he was fifteen years old that the 99th-ranked prospect began playing basketball. The South Bend Tribune reports that he will play his senior year at La Lumiere, which will be his lone high school basketball season.
