Just a few weeks ago, all of Duke’s basketball offers for the 2026 class had gone to composite five-star prospects. But as Jon Scheyer and his staff broaden their recruiting scope, Melissa High School (Texas) shooting guard Austin Goosby has emerged as one of several rising four-star players now firmly on the Blue Devils’ radar.

Goosby revealed his offer from Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils through the following social media post on Tuesday night:

A 6-foot-5, 190-pound polished sharpshooter displaying a budding overall repertoire on the perimeter, Goosby has racked up well over a dozen offers, now mostly high-major suitors.

Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 190 pounds, Austin Goosby is a skilled sharpshooter with a developing all-around game on the perimeter. He’s already attracted interest from over a dozen programs, the majority of which are high-major schools.

Goosby is currently ranked No. 32 overall in the 2026 class by the 247Sports Composite. He holds the No. 4 spot among shooting guards and is ranked No. 2 in the state of Texas.

While Duke basketball has yet to land a commitment in the 2026 class, the Blue Devils continue to be strong contenders in nearly every recruitment they’ve actively pursued.
