With the commitment of wide receiver Brian Williams Jr., Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide added a gifted athlete to their class of 2026 recruits.
According to On3 source Hayes Fawcett, Williams made his pledge to the Crimson Tide official on Tuesday. He passed over schools like Penn State, Florida, and Notre Dame in favor of the SEC powerhouse.
The young receiver from Sunshine State has a promising prospect. He has an 86 on 247Sports, earning him a three-star rating. He is the 162nd-best wide receiver in the 2026 class and the 106th-best athlete in the state of Florida.
Although he possesses the length and athleticism to make an impact, this traits-heavy outside wide receiver hasn’t yet shown much on the field. According to Andrew Ivins, scouting director at 247Sports, “looks the part with a lanky frame that stretches close to 6-foot-4 and pairs the outstanding size with green speed and explosion scores.”
“Sinks his hips to snap in and out of his breaks and shows a good initial burst off the line.” Although he isn’t the most physically strong player right now, his fast feet and precise releases allow him to get past man covering.
What’s next for Alabama after landing Brian Williams Jr.
For Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide, it’s a good acquisition. The receiving corps of the squad appears to have a lot of promise, especially with the arrival of Brian Williams Jr. in 2026.
DeBoer is getting ready for his second season as head coach of the Crimson Tide. When Nick Saban stepped down as college football coach, he led the team through the beginning of a new era. He was a good candidate for the position as Saban’s successor because of his ability to guide teams to extraordinary success.

He had a successful first campaign with Alabama. His tenure with the program began well as he guided the Crimson Tide to a 9–4 record. But in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl, he lost against the Michigan Wolverines to conclude the season.
