Fans of the Green Bay Packers have not been happy with special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia’s performance this season. In 2025, Bisaccia’s team has lost a few games and failed in some circumstances, such as the Packers’ final playoff game against the Chicago Bears.

Brandon McManus, a seasoned kicker, missed an extra point and two field goals. After Josh Jacobs fumbled on a kick return, the Packers nearly had a catastrophe, but Green Bay was able to recover it.

Not to mention the obvious error that the referees overlooked: the Packers had 10 players on the field for an extra point instead of the necessary 11. One individual, though, remembered it.

According to Nicholas Moreno of Marquee Sports Network, Chicago Bears special teams coordinator Richard Hightower made fun of Bisaccia on Thursday, telling reporters, “If our team did that, I would be livid.”

This is the last thing you want to hear from your competition if you’re a Packers supporter or a member of the front office because it just serves to strengthen the case for Bisaccia’s dismissal.

However, given that Bears supporters recently wanted to see Hightower go, it’s rich to see him taking aim at Bisaccia in this manner. And supporters have good cause to believe that Hightower should be under scrutiny.

When considering Bisaccia’s 2025 season in its entirety, it wasn’t good. The special teams unit of Green Bay was more of a liability than an asset.

If McManus wasn’t missing field goals or extra points, it was either a blocked extra point that gave the Dallas Cowboys unexpected momentum in a game that finished in a 40-40 tie or a blocked field goal that cost them a victory in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns. Daniel Whelan was the Packers’ special teams’ lone hope.

Given that they signed Lucas Havrisik to a reserve/futures contract earlier this week, the Packers may replace McManus at kicker during the summer. But that shouldn’t be the only thing that changes. Bisaccia ought to be the next in line, but that probably won’t happen until Green Bay resolves its persistent problem with head coach Matt LaFleur, which keeps taking several turns.
