Rick Pitino and Kevin Willard have a long history together.
Pitino, the former head coach of Kentucky, and the head coach of Villanova collaborated at Louisville from 2001 to 2007. Pitino returned to college following his last NBA head coaching stint with the Boston Celtics.
When Pitino’s St. John’s team crushed Willard’s Wildcats 89-57 in a game that was never close, the two faced off again on Saturday night. Reporters questioned Willard about his connection with Pitino after the game.
In a really amusing response, Willard insisted that Pitino is the cause of his hair loss. Additional statements from Willard’s response include, but are not restricted to, “the most miserable experience in life” and “you fear for your life.”
