Oxford, Alabama native, a 6’2″, 175-pound point guard, changed his commitment from Belmont to Kansas State on Saturday.

After Devin Hutcherson defected to The Little Apple last Friday, Alexander is the second Belmont pledge to follow Wildcat head coach Casey Alexander (no relation that I am aware of) to Manhattan.

Kansas State adds Belmont guard signee Jaylen Alexander

The star of the entering Belmont class was Alexander. With good cause, he was expected to be the highest-rated recruit in Bruins program history. The high-3* prospect was regarded as a top 200 player nationally and as one of Alabama’s top 5 players and point guard for the 2026 class. In addition to mid-major offers from UAB, Murray State, Kennesaw State, New Mexico State, and ETSU (among others), he received an offer from his home state of Auburn before to committing to Belmont.
