Patrick Mahomes, quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, has never played in a road playoff game, but he has plenty of experience at home, and if the Chiefs win the Dolphins on Saturday night, Mahomes will join some pretty exceptional company in NFL history.

A Chiefs victory at Arrowhead Stadium would be Mahomes’ tenth home playoff victory of his career. Only Tom Brady has won more home playoff games than any other quarterback in NFL history, with 21 victories. Joe Montana and Peyton Manning were the only other quarterbacks to win ten home playoff games.

Mahomes is presently tied with John Elway and Brett Favre for the most home playoff wins with nine.

Mahomes’ only postseason appearances outside of Kansas City have been on neutral fields in three Super Bowls. Two of those three have been won by the Chiefs.

If the Chiefs win on Saturday and the Bills defeat the Steelers on Sunday, Mahomes will play in the divisional round for the first time in his career. If the Steelers defeat the Bills, Mahomes will be able to play another home playoff game in the divisional round and attempt to make it 11 home playoff wins.
