Will Michael Thomas join the Dolphins?

Following a successful 2023-24 season, the Miami Dolphins are primed to replenish during the NFL free agency offseason. Tyreek Hill will return as one of Miami’s most potent attacking weapons. Furthermore, Hill made an interesting plea for former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas to join the team following his release.

Hill went to X to make a brief presentation to Thomas.

“Just putting it out there, Michael Thomas in Miami would be [tears of joy emoji],” Hill added.

Miami is already stacked, but adding standout quarterback Tua Tagovailoa an extra weapon would elevate the club to new heights.

The Saints selected Thomas in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. During his seven-year career, the former Ohio State product was named to two First-Team AP All-Pro teams and played in three Pro Bowls.

Thomas’ greatest season came in 2019-20, when he accumulated 1,725 yards and nine touchdowns. Unfortunately, he suffered ailments that limited his production over the next three years. Eventually, the Saints released Thomas during the 2024 NFL free agency period.

In the days leading up to his release, Thomas became irritated with NOLA.com journalist Jeff Duncan. Duncan projected that New Orleans will let Thomas leave due to his decreased production and off-field notoriety. As a result, Thomas responded to the journalist through a social media post.

“Jeff Duncan, funny how they planned to release me if I was on a one-year deal…”Don’t fall for it; he’s the same guy that attempted to be my friend during the season after claiming I wasn’t the same player in training camp. #nexttopic” Thomas commented on X.
