Alexander Isak has been a revelation for Newcastle United since joining from Real Sociedad.

Louis Saha feels Manchester United should spend £63 million on talisman Alexander Isak this summer.

Newcastle United broke the bank to sign the Swede from Real Sociedad less than two years ago. Isak has subsequently established himself as one of the Premier League’s finest scorers, scoring 27 goals in 46 appearances.

He’s also developed a strong bond with Newcastle fans, which was bolstered by a brace against bitter rivals Sunderland in January. When questioned by the media in recent weeks, the 24-year-old expressed a wish to stay in Tyneside.

“Yeah, of course, I want to be here in the future,” Isak remarked three weeks ago. “I came here for the assignment, and I truly love playing here. I feel right at home. I want to finish the season on a positive note for both myself and the team. “I love playing here.”

That hasn’t stopped transfer rumors from spreading, with Arsenal reportedly keeping tabs on the striker. Former Manchester United and Newcastle forward Saha has pushed the Red Devils, who have yet to agree on a compensation deal for sporting director Dan Ashworth, to sign Isak.

“He’s a top player, and he’s really raised his game this season,” he told Betfred. “His link-up play is excellent, he is very sharp, he can create opportunities for himself by cutting in from the left or right, and he has a lot of flair.” It’s an excellent combo.

“He’s a tall guy, so he could be a better target man in the box, but he can play with other strikers, and he’s shown how effectively he can link up with Newcastle’s wingers.

“If he’s available this summer, I believe he could be a really good addition for Manchester United.”
