But when Carpenter legged out a triple on Sunday night, it appeared to get worse. Trey Sweeney is returning to Detroit, and he is going on the injured list.

Carpenter was 6-13 at the plate over the past seven days, recording three home runs and ten RBIs. It’s definitely not a slump. After this lost time, it won’t be simple to maintain Carpenter’s impressive appearance at the bat.
