In an attempt to revive his major league career, a former All-Star has found a new home.
According to Jon Heyman of The Post, right-handed pitcher signed a $1.95 million, one-year contract to join the Angels.
After being picked up by the Braves after being designated for assignment by the Blue Jays in late September, Manoah did not pitch in the major leagues in 2025. In November, Atlanta did not tender him.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
After being selected in the first round of the 2019 draft from West Virginia, Manoah emerged as a top prospect in Toronto’s organization. In 2021, he finished seventh in the American League Rookie of the Year voting with a 3.22 ERA in 20 starts.
Manoah had an even better 2022 season, pitching 196 2/3 innings with a 2.24 ERA and 180 strikeouts. After a famous mic’d-up incident on the Dodger Stadium mound, he was named to the AL All-Star squad and placed third in the Cy Young competition.
However, that season turned out to be a high point that he hasn’t been able to achieve since.
Manoah’s 2023 season was marred by poor results (5.87 ERA, 1.74 WHIP) and a trip to the rookie-level Florida Complex League, where he gave up 11 runs in a June start.
Manoah appeared better in 2024, but after just 24 1/3 innings, he required surgery to fix the ulnar collateral ligament in his pitching elbow, which kept him out of action from June until the beginning of 2025.
