Elzey made 76 open-field tackles in his junior year. In 24 games over his varsity career, he has 149 total tackles and two fumble recoveries.
According to earlier reports, he also had offers from Duke, Miami, Auburn, and Boston College.
Cameron Boozer has virtually vanished. Isaiah Evans has more of a decision to make, but it appears likely that he will also join the draft. This also applies to sophomore center Patrick Ngongba, who, should he choose to declare, will leave a huge void in the Duke frontcourt.
In their most recent mock draft, Tankathon ranks Ngongba as the 22nd overall prospect in the class and forecasts him to the Oklahoma City Thunder at number 17. It makes sense that he would join the draft rather than take the chance of playing college basketball for another season if it is a true representation of his draft stock, especially given his history of injuries.
If that occurs, Scheyer will need to find someone quickly to fill the middle position in the Duke starting lineup, probably next to five-star point guard Cameron Williams. Somto Cyril of Georgia, who apparently intends to use the Transfer Portal, might be that player:

This past season, Cyril led the SEC in blocked shots with 2.2 a game in just 21 minutes per night. Similar to Ngongba, he would be able to anchor the Duke defense in the center, and his agility and ability to play above the rim would make him an ideal match on the offensive end.
But Cyril is probably going to have a lot more suitors. You can anticipate that Arkansas would be aggressive in its pursuit of the Nigerian big man because he was a one-time commitment to Kentucky under John Calipari.
If Scheyer intends to maintain the Blue Devils close to the top of the sport, acquiring Cyril to replace Ngongba—assuming he enters the draft—would make it possible. Duke finished in the Top 5 in KenPom’s adjusted defensive efficiency statistic.
