Kansas transfer committed to Missouri on Thursday, hurting Miami’s frontcourt rebuilding. After Miami emerged as one of his last significant rivals, Tiller made his selection public; nevertheless, Dennis Gates and Missouri clinched the deal. Last season, Tiller averaged 1.3 blocks, 6.1 rebounds, and 7.9 points per game for Kansas.

Arizona, Michigan, Missouri, and Miami made comprised Tiller’s last group. The race had mostly narrowed down to Miami and Missouri by the end of the recruitment process.
In his rookie year, Tiller started 31 games after reclassifying and enrolling early at Kansas. With 45 blocked shots, 13 double-figure scoring games, and two double-doubles, he ended second on the squad.

The appeal for Missouri included Tiller’s connections with Gates and Tigers general manager Tim Fuller, who had previously worked at Overtime Elite.

- Pace Academy freshman season (2021-22): 12.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
- Overtime Elite/City Reapers (2022-23): 11.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, with five double-doubles during the regular season as the City Reapers won the OTE championship.
- Overtime Elite/City Reapers (2023-24): 12.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game, plus seven double-doubles. He was named All-OTE Second Team.
- 2024 OTE playoffs: 15.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 50% from the field.
- On3 ranked him No. 41 overall, No. 7 among power forwards and as the No. 3 player in Georgia.
Miami’s transfer portal status
With the addition of Cyril and Villanova guard Acaden Lewis to the team, Miami has already had a successful portal stretch. Cyril averaged 9.3 points and 2.2 blocks for Georgia last season, while Lewis averaged 12.2 points and 5.3 assists per game for Villanova.
