A native of Lexington, was a member of George Rogers Clark’s 2022 Sweet 16 Championship squad and finished second the next year. He signed with Morehead State as an unranked class of 2023 recruit. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound player transferred to Washington State after two seasons.
In 25 minutes per game during the previous season, Morton averaged 7.8 points on 43.8% shooting (38.7% on 3-pointers), 2.6 assists, and 1.9 rebounds. Additionally, on 1.9 attempts per game, he shot 82% from the charity stripe.
He fired a sizzling 48.1% from beyond the arc on 52 attempts (25 made) in 18 West Coast Conference games. He has made 13 of 21 3-pointers in his last eight games, good for a 61.9% clip.
Morton scored a total of 31 points on 10/18 shooting (5/9 from outside the arc) in two games against Gonzaga, along with six assists and two turnovers.

Morton spent a lot of time at shooting guard and occasionally on the wing at Washington State, but he spent more time at point guard at Morehead State the season before.
Morton averaged 10.4 points on 45% shooting (37.7% on 3-pointers), 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 29.5 minutes per game during the 2024–25 Eagles season.
247 Sports gives Morton a 3-star rating and places him 58th among point guards and 315th overall.
In addition to having a backup point guard in case Alex Wilkins and Zoom Diallo are in foul trouble, Kentucky now has some much-needed backcourt depth.
