The Los Angeles Angels, who are currently 24-39 and in last place in the AL West, have faltered once more this season. According to Halo Territory, an ex-player made a comment regarding the team’s difficulties, stating that the Halos must either acknowledge that they are in a rebuild or make appropriate judgments as their playoff drought persists.
Mark Trumbo made the same insightful remarks about the Halos even though he hasn’t played since 2013. Since 2014, the Angels have notably failed to qualify for the postseason. They simply haven’t changed, too. The Angels have not committed to either a rebuild or an all-in strategy, therefore they have no postseason plan. Over the years, they have come under heavy fire for failing to sign Shohei Ohtani or offer any assistance to Mike Trout.
Kurt Suzuki, the current manager of the Angels, signed a one-year contract. Nobody was encouraged by that, least of all Angels supporters. The club has returned to the bottom of the standings and is trapped in the same pattern, notwithstanding a brief period during which they had a strong start. The Angels have not done anything to give their supporters hope despite their ongoing struggles.
The franchise’s lack of a robust farm system and inability to produce can’t-miss prospects over the past ten years make things even more intolerable. The Halos are ranked 28th overall by Baseball America, and they haven’t been able to develop players that can have a significant influence. The Halos will probably miss the playoffs for the 12th consecutive season unless they go on an incredible winning run. They will probably search for a new management and follow the same process if they continue the recent pattern.
