Boston Celtics icon Paul Pierce made a post on X regarding (Denver Nuggets) Nikola Jokic.
The Denver Nuggets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107 (at home) in Colorado on Wednesday evening.

The Nuggets took control in the second half, with two-time MVP Nikola Jokic leading the way with 41 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals while shooting 16/20 from the field and 2/2 from three in 38 minutes.

Following the game, Boston Celtics legend (and Basketball Hall of Famer) Paul Pierce shared a post on X that received over 4,000 likes.

Pierce wrote: “Jokic sealed MVP tonight”

 

Jokic had another outstanding season, averaging 26.6 points, 12.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 58.1% from the field and 35.8% from three-point range in 77 games.

The Nuggets are the Western Conference’s first seed, with a 56-24 record in 80 games.

 

They’ve gone 7-3 in their previous ten games and are now on a three-game victory streak.

Following their game against the Timberwolves, the Nuggets will travel to Texas to face the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday evening.

 

Pierce is one of the best players in history, having helped Boston win the NBA Championship over the Los Angeles Lakers in 2008.

In addition to the Celtics, he played for the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Clippers throughout his 19-season career.

Over 1,343 regular-season games, he averaged 19.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.3 steals.
