Wolves are reportedly interested in signing striker Chris Bedia as they seek reinforcements this month.

Last night, sporting director Matt Hobbs checked in with fans and explained where the club was in terms of prospective new acquisitions.

He has stated that Wolves will not put themselves in danger this month, but he has stated that Gary O’Neil will be supported if the right player is available and within budget.

O’Neil is desperate for a new striker this season, and his desire has heightened after the loan exits of Sasa Kalajdzic and Fabio Silva.

Several names have been proposed thus far, and now Fabrizio Romano has thrown a new one out there…

Wolves are interested in Servette attacker Chris Bedia, who has a prolific 2023 season.

Last night, noted journalist Fabrizio Romano said that Wolves are closely monitoring Chris Bedia’s position.

Bedia is gaining notice because his contract with Swiss label Servette is set to expire this summer.

Bedia is going to draw a lot of attention because he scored 28 goals in 2023. With ten goals this season, he leads the Swiss league, and he has six more in cup competitions.

“Chris Bedia, attracting interest as contract at Servette is due to expire in the summer and he’s top scorer in Switzerland – 28 goals in 2023,” Romano remarked on X. Werder Bremen, Bologna, and Wolves are all keeping a close eye on Bedia’s position.”

Bedia, an Ivorian striker, who formerly played for Zulte Waregem and Charleroi in Belgium, as well as Tours, Troyes, and Sochaux in France.

Bedia could be a worthwhile risk.

Wolves could make a move for Bedia this month, with O’Neil looking for a new center striker.

It’s an intriguing transfer link, with Bedia definitely capable of scoring goals. However, he is currently playing in the Swiss league, where the caliber of football is far lower than in the Premier League.

So bringing him in and expecting him to continue scoring at his present rate would be a gamble.

However, given that his contract is set to expire later this year, Bedia would theoretically be a relatively inexpensive addition.

We’ll see what happens with the 27-year-old, but he’s definitely someone to keep an eye on.
