Hill said he doesn’t know when he’ll be back at the house, but he and his family are staying and enjoying their time on the beach in the meanwhile.

Tyreek Hill opened up about dealing with the aftermath of a fire at his South Florida estate ahead of the Miami Dolphins-Kansas City Chiefs wild-card playoff game on Thursday.

“My wife is OK. Mom is wonderful. And my nephews are excellent. “That’s all that matters, man,” Hill said to reporters.

According to officials, the fire started by accident on Jan. 3 at his Southwest Ranches estate owing to a child playing with a lighter.

“Right now, man, it’s just a transition… I mean, but players do that.” “Like we find a way to recover,” Hill remarked. “And that’s what life is — ups and downs, things happen, and you have to figure out how to deal with adversity.” So we just had some minor difficulties, and we’re going to overcome it. And that’s exactly what we’re doing right now.”

The fire was put out in roughly two hours by crews. The fire was contained to the attic and roof, but there was smoke damage throughout the house.

Hill received the news while at practice. According to multiple media sources, the fire caused $2.3 million in damage to the almost $7 million home.

“There are crazier things in the world going on,” Hill went on to say. “I’m not the only one having a bad day in the world.” Other people are experiencing horrible days, you know. God has gifted me with tremendous things, and I have a great support system in the form of teammates, family, and other people, and I just try to look on the bright side of things.”

Hill said he doesn’t know when he’ll be back at the house, but he and his family are staying and enjoying their time on the beach in the meanwhile.

“Although it sucks to see you know, rooms you know destroyed and everything that you work for destroyed, it sucks, but my main thing was health,” Hill went on to say. “Making sure that my kids are alright, and yeah, man this gives me and my wife a chance to get closer.”
