The Warriors have been the subject of numerous trade rumors, especially given their current 18-22 record, and four-time champion Draymond Green has talked candidly about the speculation.

After the Warriors lost another game against the Grizzlies on Monday, Green admitted that his squad is “not a very good team right now.”

“I also know, in regard to the Dubs, there’s been a lot of trade rumors,” Green stated on Tuesday’s episode of The Draymond Green Show. “I know my name came up, and so did everyone else’s except Steph Curry’s. My name has rarely been mentioned in trade speculations. And to be honest, I have not thought about it one bit.

“I don’t make much of it at all. Rumors are simply that, rumors. I hear the same stuff as everyone else. “That is both the blessing and the curse of social media.”

Rumors have circulated that the Dubs might trade Green, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Chris Paul, and Jonathan Kuminga in a variety of trades, with the Mavs still being linked to Wiggins.

According to one recent source, “everyone” except Steph Curry “is on the table”.

Green talked about the prospect of the franchise trading him.

Draymond Green: Nearly retired during suspension from Warriors

“So if that ever came to fruition, then you cross that bridge when you get there,” he said. “I know everybody thinks, ‘The Warriors need to make a deal. They are going to make a transaction. How can you challenge anyone’s actions when you’re 18-22 years old? We’ve gotten the opportunity to go out there and prove ourselves as a squad. Our team has not been particularly active during trade deadlines, with only a few notable transactions. However, we do have a new general manager, Mike, who has been fantastic thus far. He might work differently than Bob [Myers]. He may have been more aggressive during the trade deadline than Bob was.

“I do not know. I don’t have a good feel for it. Would I be startled if something changed or if some deals occurred? No. I would not be astonished. We’re 18-22, with the league’s biggest payroll. [The Warriors’ owner] Joe Lacob is the proprietor of a business. As general manager, Mike is responsible for running a business. Do I believe I will be traded? No, I hope not. But if any of those things occur, it is part of the business in which we have chosen to participate.”
