Beale has only been with the club since the middle of December.

Michael Beale was severely booed by Sunderland fans following their defeat to Hull City, as he faces calls for his dismissal.

The former Rangers manager just recently joined the Black Cats after being sacked at Ibrox, yet he has only two victories and five defeats in eight games. This evening’s setback at home to the Tigers was the last straw for several fans, who resorted to social media to criticise the Englishman’s tenure.

Some accused the ex-Gers coach of relegating Sunderland from a club that played brilliant football to one that lacked ideas, while others pointed to the “sacked in the morning” cries from the stands.

One shouted, “Get Michael Beale out of this football club. What an absolutely dreadful appointment. Take his job away. Sack him right now and acknowledge you were incorrect. Pathetic.”

Another said, “Will Michael Beale outlast the lettuce?” According to one commenter, “Michael Beale must go. Nothing can justify that performance.

A fourth commented, “Never seen a more smelly appointment at Sunderland than Michael Beale. Completely dumb from beginning to end. “Just f***ing stinks of Phil Parkinson, man; get rid of him asap.”

One person stated: “The sooner Michael Beale leaves my football club, the better. “A shambles of an appointment.”
