The approaching free agency of L’Jarius Sneed is one of Chiefs Kingdom’s most critical storylines this offseason. He was one of the NFL’s best cornerbacks, and Brett Veach has made keeping him a primary priority.
However, Kansas City is not the only potential suitor for Sneed’s talents. Philadelphia’s secondary requires a rebuild, and three of Sneed’s former college colleagues are apparently attempting to persuade him to join them with the Eagles.

Sneed was taken in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft and spent four years at Louisiana Tech, where he developed into the versatile, physical cornerback we know and love today.
Sneed’s former colleagues are understandably eager for him to return to Philadelphia. The Eagles ranked 19th in opponent yards per play (6.7) and collapsed down the stretch, resulting in an early playoff elimination. Howie Roseman is going to be adamant about fixing the defense, making Sneed an obvious target.
This year, opposing quarterbacks had a passing rating of just 56.2 while targeting Sneed. He’s on track for a large deal and has already been dubbed the finest free agent fit for Philadelphia.
Veach still has a trump ace in his pocket: he may franchise tag Sneed if necessary. With the Chiefs trying to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls, the front office will most likely do everything possible to retain the standout defender in town.
