The Dolphins are keeping their punter.

According to various reports, Miami has agreed to a two-year contract with Jake Bailey. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next week.

Bailey had his first season with the Dolphins last year, averaging 45.7 yards and a net average of 40.7 yards on 53 punts. He had 20 of his punts land within the 20-yard line, with only three touchbacks.

Bailey was taken in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft and spent his first four seasons with the Patriots. Bailey’s career average in 75 games is 45.9 yards, with a net average of 40.9 yards. He’s landed 44.4% of his punts inside the 20.
