Newcastle United defeated Sheffield United 5-1 at St James’ Park in the Premier League.
Ana Lidia Martins, Newcastle United’s wide-out, has tweeted a touching statement following what she described as a ‘unforgettable day’ at St James’ Park.

Martins watched as opposite half Bruno Guimaraes scored his fifth goal of the season in Newcastle’s 5-1 Premier League victory over Sheffield United. Pre-game, Newcastle United fans honored Guimaraes and fellow Brazilian Joelinton with a dedicated flag display.

The letter, which came with a Gallowgate End-sized Brazil flag display, read: “From Alianca and Rio to Newcastle Upon Tyne, a home away from home. Joelinton and Bruno are our Brazilian Geordies.”
The Brazilian was also named Magpies’ player of the month, and Martins revealed that this was the first game her youngest son, Pietro, had attended.
