An already crowded Ole Miss receiving room gains another piece as the Portal King GOD strikes again.

Following the resignation of Utah State head coach Blake Anderson, receiver Micah Davis was given a 30-day window to find a new home. The rising senior was third on the squad in receptions (36), yards (628), and receiving touchdowns (6).

Davis, who stands 5’11, clearly projects as a slot receiver. But as a senior this season, it seems like an unusual inclusion given the incredible talent currently in the room. Tre Harris, South Carolina transfer Juice Wells, and Jordan Watkins will play the majority of the snaps. Young players such as Ayden Williams and Cayden Lee are also in the mix. That excludes senior transfers Devin Price (FAU) and Jordan Smith (North Texas).

I believe that neither Kiffin nor Davis would chose this marriage unless there was a plan for Davis to play an active role.
