Leonard Moore has raised quite a few heads at Notre Dame football camp thus far.
So far, numerous names have been mentioned during Notre Dame football’s fall camp. On the attacking side of the ball, players like Aneyas Williams and Riley Leonard receive the most attention. Benjamin Morrison and his rapid comeback on defense are also drawing a lot of attention.
One player who came in under the radar and has raised eyebrows is seeking to play opposite Morrison this fall. Leonard Moore, a former 3-star cornerback from Round Rock, Texas, is seen as an emerging star after the first week of camp.
Notre Dame football’s social media pages have already begun to hype the 6-foot-1, 187-pound cornerback, and the hype train appears to be just getting started after he recorded another interception late last week.

Moore’s rise up the depth chart looks to be hindered by something other than his talent. What could get in the way is the fact that there aren’t enough photos to go around.
Moore is currently expected to be the third string, with Morrison and Chance Tucker ahead of him at the boundary corner position. However, there is still room to move.
Morrison’s recovery has sparked much optimism, but he is not yet fully recovered. Tucker isn’t hurt, but he hasn’t wowed in public practice clips posted online.
Moore may just play well enough to catch the attention of Notre Dame football coaches. As they seek answers for a defense predicted to be among the best in the country, they may determine that talent can outperform an experienced presence like Tucker’s.
