Heading into the 2025-26 season, the Auburn basketball roster is likely to be nearly unrecognizable from the previous year. The Tigers enjoyed a spectacular season that concluded in the program’s second Final Four trip in six years, but with virtually all of its players running out of eligibility or transferring, there is work to be done ahead of the following season. Tahaad Pettiford, a freshman who has declared for the NBA draft while still eligible for college, is the lone player who may make a comeback.
The Tigers received good news in the form of a commitment just before their game against Florida in San Antonio. Head coach Bruce Pearl and his staff knew this was coming and worked diligently on the recruiting trail even as their team was vying for a national championship.
According to Pearl, former UCF Knight Keyshawn Hall was the first transfer to commit to Auburn basketball through the portal. The guard is anticipated to play a significant role on the team this season.
According to Auburn Live, Pearl stated, “Keyshawn was one of the most influential players in the transfer portal.” He is a bucket getter and was the Big 12’s top scorer. (Hall) can play a variety of positions, both offensively and defensively, and is a very challenging one-on-one cover. He simply makes the opponent’s matchup nightmare. I think the largest reason in his choice was his ambition to close off his collegiate career on top and win a championship.”

Last season, Hall averaged 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting 42.7 percent from the floor, making him the Big 12’s top scorer. He made 84.4 percent of his free throws and had a 35.4 percent three-point shooting percentage. Last season, he started all 33 games for UCF, earning him a spot on the second team of the All-Big 12.
