A brilliant point guard for the Washington Huskies, finally committed to Kentucky Basketball on the transfer portal board on Wednesday.

In addition to providing the Wildcats with their floor general for the upcoming campaign, that “might” aid them in another high-profile acquisition.

You see, Diallo attended Prolific Prep in California for his high school basketball career.

Among his teammates? Tyran Stokes, the top-ranked recruit in the class of 2026. Before Diallo ended up at Washington and Stokes later went to Notre Dame High School, the two played together for the 2023–24 season, along with projected No. 1 overall NBA Draft choice AJ Dybantsa.

Would obtaining Diallo aid Kentucky’s efforts to acquire Diallo?

Based on Stokes’ Instagram reaction to Diallo’s commitment post, it doesn’t seem to hurt them.

One thing is certain: now that Kentucky has secured PG1 for the upcoming season, recruiting should become easier. Although Kentucky’s pitch has become much more intriguing, Kansas should still be considered the frontrunner for Stokes.
