The Philadelphia Phillies will be looking to make some improvements over the next few months in addition to trying to gain momentum. Philadelphia’s starting lineup has led the way.

Cristopher Sanchez has been outstanding, even though Wheeler has been excellent since coming back. The left-hander didn’t let up a run in May and recently broke the record for the most straight scoreless innings by a southpaw.

Additionally, there are some worries regarding the offensive, despite the fact that the rotation has been carrying them. Finding some outside possibilities appears to be important because this unit didn’t perform well in May. Even though it’s difficult, they will need to add impact bats during the season.

Recently, Bleacher Report’s Tim Kelly discussed a few possible trade targets for the Phillies. Heliot Ramos, a slugger for the San Francisco Giants, was one of them and may make an intriguing addition.

This offseason, Philadelphia will undoubtedly look for assistance on the right side of the bat. Some of this team’s left-handed sluggers have had incredible beginnings to the season, but the output on the other side of the plate has been mediocre.

Ramos might be a long-term asset to the organization with three years of arbitration remaining, but that would be more expensive than a rental. Despite being on the injured list due to a quad injury, he has had another strong season, hitting.267/.307/.424 with 20 RBI and four home runs.

He has been able to hit at least 20 home runs for the Giants over the last two seasons, which is difficult to do in San Francisco. The Giants appear to be on the verge of a bit of a reset due to the team’s difficulties this season. Moving Buster Posey to assist in replenishing the farm system may be interesting even if he is only 26 years old. Ramos might be a desirable option for Philadelphia as an outfield right-handed hitter.
