To put it mildly, Caleb Wilson has had a hectic month. He recently visited NBA Today, where he was questioned about the NBA Draft and whether he thought he should be selected first overall.

It’s difficult to dispute that.

Wilson may be the most intriguing player in the group in terms of his potential, regardless of whether you think he has what it takes to surpass AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, and Cameron Boozer in the draft. He did defeat Peterson and Wilson in the regular season, as he said, and he at least outperformed Dybantsa in the BYU showcase. All of this does not necessarily indicate that he will be the superior NBA player, but NBA teams should take note of it.

Wilson is currently projected to go fourth overall to the Chicago Bulls by the majority of sites, but some believe that teams are beginning to view Wilson as a top 2-3 pick. In their most recent mock draft, CBS Sports has Wilson selected second overall by the Utah Jazz. This would be an intriguing move, to put it mildly. The Jazz don’t need another big player, but Wilson’s potential might be sufficient to keep Walker Kessler on the team.

Here is what the now former Tar Heel had to say:

”I definitely do. I played against everybody else, and I won. And I played better. It’s just that simple for me. … You can check the film, you can check the tape.”

Caleb Wilson’s final selection pick will be revealed in a few weeks, but in the meanwhile, we would like to hear from you. Do you concur with Wilson? Do you believe he should or could be ranked #1 overall? Tell us in the comments section below.
