On Thursday, the Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees reached a trade agreement. Both teams stated that Jayvien Sandridge, a left-handed pitcher, was acquired by the Angels in exchange for cash considerations. Angels right-handed pitcher Osvaldo Bido was designated for assignment in a matching move.
In 2025, Sandridge, 26, made his Major League Baseball debut. But he only made one appearance in a game. He has worked with the minor league teams of several different teams. He joined the Yankees in 2025 and pitched in A, A+, and Triple-A in addition to one MLB game. The left-handed reliever recorded a 4.66 ERA in 38 appearances between his minor league appearances.

However, left-handed relievers are always useful. At some time in 2026, the Angels hope Sandridge can advance in his career and succeed at the major league level.
The Angels and Yankees have been connected twice now within the past 24 hours. Kaleb Ort, a right-handed pitcher, was acquired by the Angels from New York on Wednesday.
Bido, meanwhile, was designated for assignment just two days after the Angels acquired him from the Miami Marlins on waivers. The 30-year-old Bido has already played for five different teams this summer after being designated for assignment and then claimed several times.
The Angels are currently completing their 40-man roster for the forthcoming Major League Baseball season. For the first time since 2014, Los Angeles hopes to make it to the postseason. The Angels will need players like Mike Trout to lead the way, but the additional pitching depth will help.
