Leeds United winger Jaidon Anthony was absent from yesterday’s win over Ipswich Town due to sickness, according to manager Daniel Farke.

The Whites headed into their final game before Christmas hoping for a win that would serve as a watershed moment in the promotion battle.

Ipswich Town’s incredible pace since promotion this season has been beyond Leeds’ control, but facing them twice has given Daniel Farke the opportunity to show his squad deserves to be in the conversation.

Anthony is missing from the Leeds team.

The matchday team was announced at 11:30 a.m., with winger Jaidon Anthony missing from both the starting lineup and the bench.

Anthony hasn’t started a league game for Leeds since the setback at the hands of Stoke City, unable to get in on the left wing while Crysencio Summerville impresses every week.

Daniel Farke issues response to reports Jaidon Anthony could end Leeds loan spell early in January

Leeds, on the other hand, thrashed the Tractor Boys 4-0 thanks to some spectacular, fast-paced forward football.

Phil Hay provides an update on Anthony’s fitness.

Farke said after the game that Anthony’s absence from the team was due to illness, which caused him to miss training on Friday at Thorp Arch.

According to Phil Hay, the manager is hopeful that Anthony will be fit for the Boxing Day trip to Preston, while also stating that he will not be returning to Bournemouth in January, implying that Luis Sinisterra would not be recalled, despite rumors to the contrary.

In the winter, Anthony required greater depth.

This time of year always puts squads to the test, as the club plays several games in a short period of time.

Anthony might be very valuable for us when we play Preston and West Brom in fast succession, where rotation will be crucial.

The deoth we have might make or break a lot of games in the second part of the season.

Farke should make some modifications in Preston to keep us fresh.
