The Miami Dolphins provided an update on two worrying injuries sustained late in the fourth quarter of a rout of the Baltimore Ravens. In a 56-19 loss to the Ravens on Sunday, the Dolphins handed Lamar Jackson the NFL MVP and the Ravens the top seed in the AFC.
Head coach Mike McDaniel is under fire from the media and fans for leaving starters Tua Tagovailoa and Bradley Chubb in the game late in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of hand. Tua went down with a shoulder injury with 8:02 remaining in the game, and the Ravens led 42-19.
Chubb, the Dolphins’ standout pass rusher, was taken off the field with a knee injury a few minutes later. These injuries could have a significant impact on their Week 18 game against the Buffalo Bills, which will determine who wins the AFC East.
Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins provides an update on his injuries.
Tua told the Miami Herald’s Daniel Oyefusi that he thought his shoulder was fine after the game. He stated that it was painful.
Tua’s quad and thumb injuries allowed him to play against the Ravens. However, his ability to make plays against the Ravens was hampered by his ailments. Tua’s shoulder issue could cause him problems against the Bills next week.

Tua provided a worrying update for Chubb, according to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques. Tua stated that the Dolphins are hoping for the best for Chubb. Tua’s tone suggests Chubb will be gone for at least a few weeks, if not the entire season.
Tua just offered a public shoutout to Bradley Chubb, adding that the Dolphins are praying for him and love him
Nice gesture, bad sign for Chubb’s outlook

McDaniel’s decision to keep Tua and Chubb in the game against the Bills in Week 18 will cost the Dolphins. Tua will have to play much better through injury against the Ravens than he did against them when he didn’t have shoulder issues.
