Alexander Isak is in good form ahead of Newcastle United’s match against Manchester City on Saturday.

Newcastle gained a significant boost last weekend when they defeated Sunderland in the derby, and this will give them renewed confidence as they prepare to host last season’s treble winners at St James’ Park.

Alexander Isak’s strong form continued at the Stadium Of Light. He scored twice in Sunderland’s 3-0 win, and it would have been a hat-trick if Black Cats defender Dan Ballard hadn’t pushed through his own net.

The 24-year-old scored four goals in his previous three outings, bringing his season total to 13. He has already surpassed his total from last year and is only four goals away from matching his career high.

The Swede is having a fantastic season and will be looking to continue his success on Saturday.

Newcastle has released a training video ahead of their match against Manchester City.

After watching the training video that the club published to their official YouTube page, Isak seemed to be confident going into the game.

Eddie Howe can be seen putting his men through their paces, but Joelinton is nowhere to be seen. He appears to be out of the game this weekend owing to injuries.

However, Isak makes an appearance, embarrassing one of his Toon teammates.

As Isak appears, Matt Ritchie is talking to Anthony Gordon near the beginning of the video.

Ritchie comments at 34 seconds, “Look at this guy, I can’t wait to see him train.”

Ritchie may have been having a good time with his teammates, but the Magpies’ number 14 did not let them down.

Alexander Isak dances past Loris Karius of Newcastle.

The club record signing dances past one defender before skipping past a desperate Loris Karius who dives to dry and deny Isak in the video’s final segment (starting at 3:33).

He is unable to do so, as Isak around the 30-year-old goalie and prods the ball into the net with his right foot. His close control and balance were outstanding, and he dashes away grinning after returning his gaze to Karius.

Isak is exceptional even in training. Newcastle signed a fantastic prospect from Real Sociedad in August 2022, and we hope he stays on Tyneside for a long time.

There has been much speculation that one of Newcastle’s key players, Isak, will be forced to quit the club in the near future.

Given how good he is playing and the fact that he is just going to get better, leaving would be a calamity. He is a very great player, and he will be eager to demonstrate that once more against Manchester City on Saturday.
