Ipswich ended up reinforcing their striking department by signing Ali Al-Hamadi and Kieffer Moore from AFC Wimbledon and AFC Bournemouth, respectively, as they seek promotion to the Premier League under Kieran McKenna.

Under new manager Ian Foster, Plymouth signed a few players to boost their ranks, including Greg Cundle, Adam Forshaw, Alfie Devine, Matthew Sorinola, Darko Gyabi, and Lino Sousa, but did not add a forward.

McGuire scored 15 goals in all competitions for Orlando during the 2023 season, including 13 in the league.

He began his career with Sporting Omaha FC before joining the Creighton Bluejays in college. The Nebraska native went on to become a significant player, scoring 28 goals in 55 league games.

McGuire then played for Lane United in the USL League Two, where he scored four goals before being selected by Orlando in the 2023 MLS Super Draft.

He hasn’t looked back since, becoming a significant asset to the Lions and helping them finish second in the Eastern Conference in their previous season.

Time will tell if his move to Blackburn is finalized, as new reports suggest Ipswich and Plymouth were also interested in him.
