Tiger Woods is sporting a throwback appearance for this week’s US PGA Championship.
Tiger Woods is sporting a GOATee at this week’s US PGA Championship, a look he hasn’t given fans since 2010.

Woods, 48, has made a big statement in his pursuit of his 16th major victory, stunning fans with a new goatee, a change from his customary clean-shaven appearance.

The 15-time major champions arrived at Valhalla, the site of the year’s second major, on Sunday, and photographers wasted no time in capturing his new look when he was striking balls on the range.

Inevitably, the photographs made their way to Twitter, where viewers immediately saw his perfectly manicured facial hair.

It remains to be seen whether the goatee will last the weekend, but one thing is certain: Woods will be focused on winning his fifth PGA Championship.
Woods has had previous success on the Valhalla course, having won his second PGA Championship there in 2000.

That year, he beat Bob May in a three-hole playoff.

Woods’ ambition to win has not waned after 24 years, but he is no longer the same man physically.

Despite making 24 consecutive cuts at The Masters earlier this year, he struggled during the weekend, finishing with his highest-ever total in a major competition as a professional golfer.

Understandably, Woods is still experiencing the physical effects of ankle surgery last season following his horrific automobile tragedy in February 2022.

The fan favorite also faces the daunting prospect of battling against a field filled with in-from talent.

Scottie Scheffler, the world’s number one golfer, will return to the course after giving birth to his first child. The American hopes to win his second major of the year and his fifth in six starts.

Rory McIlroy, who has won back-to-back victories on the main North American tour at the Wells Fargo Championship and Zurich Classic of New Orleans, is right behind Scheffler in form.

Brooks Koepka will surely be a contender, having won the PGA Championship last year and finding form at the right time with a victory at LIV Golf Singapore two weeks ago.
