And Strack gave a powerful response.
You would think, “Man, that is harsh,” after reading that title, but Kentucky women’s basketball coach Kenny Brooks had a strategy.
The Cats were scheduled to host No. 3 South Carolina after Clara Strack’s careless performance in a road victory against Auburn. Clara concluded the Auburn game with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 turnovers, and Brooks felt he wanted to talk to her.
To be honest, Clara Strack should never have fewer than nine rebounds in a game. She is tall enough and powerful enough to box out almost anyone, and she is always around the rim on both sides. Pulling her alone, Brooks expressed his feelings to her.

He stated to the panel of the SEC Tournament:
“It only relates to her; I could be arrested for child abuse.” “You are the worst superstar I’ve ever coached,” I remarked, glancing at her. She had tears in her eyes when she turned to face me. “Can we watch film tomorrow?” she asked before we boarded the plane. She was so intense during our two workouts before South Carolina that it was like, “I am never going to disappoint you again.”
“I told my staff, ‘She’s ready for tomorrow,’ based on the intensity of those workouts.” She was amazing when she came out on Sunday, and she has maintained that same expression because she recognizes her significance and worth to us. More significantly, though, I can tell her that in our connection. She understands where I’m coming from when I tell her, but I can’t tell anyone else.
“I didn’t claim that she was the worst star or the worst player. She became really agitated when I told her, “You were the worst superstar.”
A player may be made or broken by a comment like that, and Brooks knows which buttons to press because Clara has been outstanding ever since.
Clara Strack responds in a big way
Against one of the top front courts in the country, Strack concluded the Cats’ game against the Gamecocks with 24 points, 9 rebounds, and a 4-5 record in the fourth quarter. Clara was once more outstanding when the Cats faced the Razorbacks to start the SEC Tournament today. In just 22 minutes, Strack scored 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in the 93-63 victory.
In preparation for a rematch with Georgia, the Cats will now have little over 20 hours to recover.
At 11 AM EST, the game will be broadcast live on the SEC Network.
Is it possible for the Cats to exact some retribution on the Bulldogs?
