According to Mizzou supporters, the basketball team’s greatest need on the transfer site is a center.
Mizzou will have several roster openings to fill during the offseason since the transfer portal is scheduled to formally open on April 7. With Anthony Robinson II and Sebastian Mack transferring out, Trent Pierce and Trent Burns are now scheduled to return for the upcoming season.
Two five-star freshmen that recently excelled in the McDonald’s All-American Game are Jason Crowe Jr. and Toni Bryant.
Regarding the portal, the majority of respondents indicated that the center position is what Mizzou Basketball most needs.
Dennis Gates and the staff haven’t found a center that makes a difference, so this sounds about right. Josh Gray and Shawn Phillips Jr. were useful but unable to perform at a high level on a regular basis during the previous two seasons.
Finding a top-notch center through the transfer portal might significantly improve Mizzou’s defense and rebounding, though it’s easier said than done.
