Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has described the injury as “bad news” before of the Premier League match against Newcastle United.
Crystal Palace will be without six first-team players for tonight’s Premier League match against Newcastle United, with Rob Holding being the latest casualty.

Holding has made just one game for the Eagles since signing from Arsenal last summer, and it was in the Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester United in September, 3-0.

The 28-year-old had been out for four months with an ankle injury until coming off the bench for Palace’s 5-2 victory over West Ham United on Sunday. However, he will miss the visit of the Magpies due to a hamstring issue.

“Unfortunately, Rob Holding is injured again,” Eagles manager Oliver Glasner said during his pre-match press conference. “It’s difficult because he’s just returned from injury.

“We don’t know the severity, but it’s something with his hamstring, so we’re not sure how long it will take. He will surely miss tomorrow’s game and, I believe, Saturday’s match against Fulham. That’s the bad news; the other players are healthy.”

Palace are also missing Sam Johnstone, Cheick Doucoure, Jefferson Lerma, Marc Guehi, and Matheus Franca, but will have January signing Adam Wharton ready after an injury scare over the weekend.
